Pheona hails from Southwestern Uganda, and as a single child of her parents grew up with extended family influences that moulded her identity. She was determined to spend her life working with Children and young adults. She boasts of more than 20 years working with children and youth, in the areas of Behavioral change, Discipleship, and Counseling.

She has worked for Pathfinder and Watoto Child Care ministries focusing on Behavioral Change & Communication, Life Planning skills and Caregiver training for adults working with children. She is an expert on child protection policies and occasionally works with parents and caregivers to reinforce these.

Pheona was instrumental in keeping the child protection standards for Watoto CHildren’s choir for more than 8 years supporting more than 20 teams travelling around the world. She continues to support teachers and parents at 3 international schools in Kampala with manuals, training and sessions on Etiquette, Life Planning, Reproductive Health and Behavior change.

Pheona is a trained and practised counsellor who also supports intending and married couples with adjustments to doing life together, and has curated content on raising Children that is used in Watoto Church’s group pre-marital counselling sessions.

Pheona helped to co-found the Kampala Leadership Hub, and Haven Kids Salon, where she has sold the mission to give children a clean and well refined experience as they get their hair done; using the salon to attract and support parents on good parenting experiences.

An accomplished singer, when she is not holding life changing conversations with clients, and families, she enjoys spending time at home, dieting and walking 5 miles to stay fit.
